Eames Recliner

It's a big week. The auction for the Eames replica recliner ends on Friday, and I'm feeling the pressure. I want this chair baaaaad! Especially since the chair will be for Clayton's birthday. It's so perfect for our living room, and is a much needed addition. We don't have that much comfy seating, so this would be great. In the mean time I have found some inspiring pictures with the very recliner up for auction. Cross your fingers and toes for me!

Diana Camera

I just got my first batch of pictures back that I took with my Diana camera. Sadly only one picture turned out. I really should have read the book/manual that came with the camera a little more thoroughly. But now I know, and I look forward to taking many more beautiful pictures with this camera.

Comptoir Des Cottoniers

It truly is a shame that Comptoir Des Cottoniers does not come to Canada.  I love this store soo much I would marry it. When I lived in France this was my go-to store for simple and beautiful pieces.  I bought a trench coat there, that sadly no longer fits me since I have expanded sideways. If anything that should be motivation to loose some poundage...but I'm getting off topic.  Once and a while I peak into their website to see what wonderful things I am missing out on.  So here are some of my favourites from their latest collection.

A sampling of some bags I’m working on for the upcoming sale.  I love working with soft soft leather.  I’m hoping to make some larger versions of these, and also some pencil case type pouches.  Yesterday these were skirts, now they are cute handy bags!!

It has taken some time for me to figure out a good layout for our bedroom.  I think I have finally gotten it the way I want…. Also a picture of some yummmmy soup I made a couple of weeks ago….

On The Road Again

I have always had a fantasy about just leaving everything I own to travel across the continent, Clayton and I, and take pictures, sell crafts, and just get by with what little we have with us. Perhaps because I am so much the opposite of that, worried about everyday responsibilities, and our house and possessions, that I would be a refreshing and challenging change. So, when I saw this, naturally I was intrigued. Such great living quarters. I don't think I would have a problem with this adventure living in one of these digs.

Pro-to-the-Crastinator

I am faced with a common affliction--called procrastination. You see, I have a craft show coming up in March, and have so far almost finished one bag. I have plans for so many more things, but am having a hard time motivating myself to get to work.... can anyone relate? I have ideas and I want to see them done, but can't quite muster it up. BUUUUUUUUT I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.... Last night we made a trip to the craft store to pick up supplies and this latest idea has got me all riled up. It's something I have yet to try and am eager to see the outcome, so I think tonight might just be a good productive night. Here's hoping.

On a somewhat related note, I have been thinking of trying my hand at keeping a shop lately. A real life store people can walk in and look around. Does anyone have any advice?? It is my ultimate goal, but I am a little intimidated by it all. I suppose this is one of the disadvantages of not being much of a risk taker.... (I'm working on it).

Maybe tomorrow I'll have some finished product shots of my craft project tonight.... see you!
