Seriously
Yesterday I saw the movie "A Serious Man" WOW! So many things I liked about this movie. One thing in particular was the set design. All I could think was how fun it would be to redecorate a whole house with 60's modern design elements. I am already partial to brown and orange motifs, and this movie had A LOT of that. The wall paper, the chairs, the lamps, hooked rug wall hangings, I can go on....

Outfit inspiration
Going out this weekend, and thinking about wearing an outfit like this... Also, I happened upon this blog today. Having some Major style envy.
Loot
Last night Clayton had band practice, so naturally I went to Value Village to pass the time. Wouldn't you know it!? I found some great stuff. My favourite find is the wooden clogs (pictured above). I have been wearing them around the house cause they make the greatest clip clop sound on the floors, and because I love them! The records are a rare score. I never find good records at Value Village, and the owls, well....I can't resist them. My father-in-law once gave me a button that says "I'm Owl Right". So those who know me, know that I love any and all owls. Anywho, here's wishing you all good luck on your next thrifting adventure!

Sneak Peak Jewelry
Here’s a look at some of the jewelry I’ll be selling at the Broken Art’s Fair. There are a few others but you’ll have to come to the show to check them out!
Transition
There is no doubt summer is on my mind. Heck! I have been thinking about the upcoming spring/summer since the last one left us. I am writing this on the morning after snow storm here in Toronto....perhaps a way to ignore the piles of white stuff outside. Two outfits for summer, but that can easily be adapted into spring looks. My mom always reminds me not to wish my life away, but this snow has got to go!

Eames Recliner
It's a big week. The auction for the Eames replica recliner ends on Friday, and I'm feeling the pressure. I want this chair baaaaad! Especially since the chair will be for Clayton's birthday. It's so perfect for our living room, and is a much needed addition. We don't have that much comfy seating, so this would be great. In the mean time I have found some inspiring pictures with the very recliner up for auction. Cross your fingers and toes for me!

My thing with coats continues
Since it's still winter here, I still care about outerwear and creating a look based on a coat. I am really loving the look of the simple swing coat and army green cargo style jackets.
Diana Camera
I just got my first batch of pictures back that I took with my Diana camera. Sadly only one picture turned out. I really should have read the book/manual that came with the camera a little more thoroughly. But now I know, and I look forward to taking many more beautiful pictures with this camera.

Comptoir Des Cottoniers
It truly is a shame that Comptoir Des Cottoniers does not come to Canada. I love this store soo much I would marry it. When I lived in France this was my go-to store for simple and beautiful pieces. I bought a trench coat there, that sadly no longer fits me since I have expanded sideways. If anything that should be motivation to loose some poundage...but I'm getting off topic. Once and a while I peak into their website to see what wonderful things I am missing out on. So here are some of my favourites from their latest collection.
Bags Bags Bags
A sampling of some bags I’m working on for the upcoming sale. I love working with soft soft leather. I’m hoping to make some larger versions of these, and also some pencil case type pouches. Yesterday these were skirts, now they are cute handy bags!!
What I’ve been up to
It has taken some time for me to figure out a good layout for our bedroom. I think I have finally gotten it the way I want…. Also a picture of some yummmmy soup I made a couple of weeks ago….
